If you guys can do this please do it. Mail is EVERYTHING while you are locked up.
Mail will be forwarded to her when she moves to a permanent spot. This will give her strength when she needs it most and will also give her hope.

I have checked out the webpage of the Alexandria Detention Center and found this info in the FAQ "Q: What items can be sent through the mail to an inmate at the Detention Center? A:The Detention Center only accepts letters through the mail. You may send pictures of the non-polaroid type, no larger than 4" x 6", however, each inmate may have only 10 pictures in their possession." This is the listed address Detention Center - Alexandria Detention Center 2001 Mill Road Alexandria, Virginia 22314 If you feel so inclined, please send her mail. I don't think she'll even mind troll mail. Taking the time to spew hate is still taking the time to express your emotion and that's awesome. That's just my silly take on it. I am one of Hana Beshara's attorneys. She was remanded into the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service this morning. They will house her in the Alexandria Detention Center until she is designated to a facility within the Federal Bureau of Prisons. More information at link.

It is with a heavy heart that I report that Phara is in prison. She was on borrowed time since she was convicted and sentenced already. I'll post more as it becomes known to me.

They are trying to make Phara's right to self surrender because of some posts that she made on FB. I have attached both the government's motion and her lawyers' response. Please, please read these documents and share them. Please be on the lookout for more news regarding the case. We here at NVF love the people at fightforthefuture.org. They have amazing initiatives that are getting things accomplished in the US legislative process. Tomorrow there is an internet strike in which sites all over the web shut down to protest PIPA and SOPA in hopes they will stall or be rejected all together.
NinjaVideoForum.net will be participating in this event - so we know you'll miss the forum for the 12 hours between 9am-9pm EST but we swear it's for a great cause.

I was sentenced yesterday and I'm currently at my parents' house with Candee. My official punishment is 22 months in federal prison, $210,000 to our poor victims, the MPAA, and 500 hours of community service. By the way, this is not state jail, I MUST serve at least 85% of my time. So for everyone thats like, fuck it, she's out in a few months... BITE ME.
Know this guys, Neil MacBride, the dude in charge of this whole thing wanted the judge to make me an example. My "inflated sense of self-importance" and "substantial ego", blah blah blah, should ofc validate putting me in prison for 4-5 years. For sharing. Yes. Sharing. Insanity.
I know it is ridiculous that I'm going away at all... I know, and I know that there is a huge inclination to hate on the judge for giving me such a sentence, but know this, probably any other judge on that bench would have given me what the government asked for... because they are the motherfuckin' government, and could do whatever they want. He gave me less than half of what the government wanted and though it is harsh... we are file sharers ffs... I can do 22 months on my motherfuckin head. In fact for the first time in years, I can probably not dread the first of the month coming around. I'll drop a couple of pounds, pick up another degree or something, and make 17 cents an hour making license plates. //care. Fuck a landlord.
I'm not scared. I'm not crying. I'm strong. WE ARE STRONG. STAND BEHIND THE OTHERS. YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE. THOSE THAT ARE HERE ARE EVERYTHING. I am the Queen, and I'm eating this bitch with motherfuckin ice cream on top... STAY TOGETHER. MAKE IT ALL WORTH IT. Debate, Art, Music, Literature, BANTER... Everything that we are and everything we ever wanted to build is still within these halls. EVOLUTION is coming and though it will be quieter and smaller than it should have been, it will be beautiful and it will be sincere, and it will be proper.
FUCK THE MPAA.
